Active recovery, the versatility of Georgian landscapes and its hospitable Caucasian people are central in this journey. You will discover Georgian nature and Georgian Culture: hiking, horse riding and relaxing at the Black Sea. You may active sporting but enjoy moments of peace and quietness too.
After you became acquainted with the lively capital Tbilisi and the historical Georgian capitol Mtskheta you travel into the steppe of David Gareji and visit the cave monastery and its monks. In the East Georgian wine province Kakheti you explore the landscape of the Alazani valley at the foot of the Greater Caucasus Range from horseback. We drive to Kazbegi at Mt. Kazbeg along the Georgian Military Road through the panorama of the beautiful and rough Caucasus mountains. Following this tour by car it goes to Western Georgia for a hiking trip of 2 days through the forests of the National Park Borjomi Kharagauli in the Lesser Caucasus, where you stay one overnight in a mountain hut.
For relaxing you'll spend three days at the Georgian coast of the Black Sea, where you become acquainted with the rising Coast town of Batumi and the lonely beaches at Kvariati. The return trip to Tbilisi you'll make by railway crosswise via Georgia and its various landscapes. For your individual preferences the last day of this journey remains in Tbilisi.

1st Day Arrival in Tbilisi, transfer to the accommodation, common meal, Tbilisi city walk, old town, fortress Narikala, Rustaveli Avenue. Overnight accomodation in Tbilisi
2nd Day trip into the old Georgian capital Mtskheta, visit of the churches Jvari and Sveti Zkhoveli. Overnight accomodation in Tbilisi
3rd Day travel to David Gareji and the cave monastery in the half desert of Udabno at the Azerbaijanian border, walk along the caves and their Freskos from 11th to 13th century. Drive into the Georgian wine province Kakheti in the southeast of the country. Overnight accomodation in Ninigori
4th Day Horse riding in Kakheti, becoming acquainted with and saddling the horses, 3 hours on horseback, overnight accomodation in Ninigori *

6th Day departing from Kakheti with a round travel over the fortress Gremi and the church Alawerdi at the northern edge of the Alazani valley. Transfer to Tbilisi. Overnight accomodation in Tbilisi.
7th Day travel along the Georgian Military Highway and over the Cross Pass (2395m) to Kazbegi at Mount Kazbeg. Easy walk to the church Zminda Sameba. Khinkali meal. Return to Tbilisi.
8th Day travel via Gori to the National Park Borjomi-Kharagauli. Visit of the administration building of the National Park. Transfer to the entrance of the National park. Hiking to the mountain hut Amarati. Picknick. Overnight accomodation in the mountain hut.
9th Day Hike back to Borjomi. Transfer via Western Georgia to Batumi at the Black Sea. Overnight accomodation in Batumi
10th Day spare time and bathing at the Black Sea coast/city walk Batumi. Overnight accomodation in Batumi
11th Day spare time and bathing at the Black Sea coast/visit of the Roman castellet Gonio. Overnight accomodation in Batumi
12th Day spare time and bathing at the black sea coast/visit of the Botanical Garden. Overnight accomodation in Batumi
13th Day journey by Georgian Railway back into the capital Tbilisi
14th Day spare time for shopping, bazaars, art market etc. in Tbilisi

* Riding beginners can learn handling horses and first steps of riding on days 4 and 5. For None-Riders we offer hiking in the National Reserve of Lagodekhi.
